Amida Care offers a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan which is available to anyone who is entitled to full Medicaid benefits. These categories for NY are

  • A Qualified Medicare Beneficiary with Comprehensive Medicaid Benefits (QMB+),
  • A Specified Low Income Medicare Beneficiary with Comprehensive Medicaid Benefits (SLMB+) and/or
  • Other full benefit dual eligible individuals

When you choose Amida Care True Life Advantage, you typically have NO monthly premiums.

$0 Monthly Plan Premiums:

Amida Care True Life Advantage by Amida Care gives you a comprehensive benefit package with all the benefits of Original Medicare PLUS extra benefits. Because you must be a full dual eligible in NY to enroll in this plan, you will also be entitled to Extra Help which means that your Part D premium will be paid on your behalf.

PLUS generally a $0 co-pay for:

  • Primary care doctors, specialists and hospital care in our large network
  • Laboratory services
  • Medicare covered home health care services
  • Outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures and tests
  • Routine transportation to/from plan-approved location
  • Emergency response alert device
  • Diabetes supplies and self-management training
  • Dental, vision and hearing benefits
  • Nursing hotline
  • Preventive care screenings such as annual exams and immunizations

And a monthly allowance to spend on approved over-the-counter health items.


You are eligible for Extra Help and receive your Part D medications at a reduced rate. Prescription drugs are covered and you will pay no more than the CMS established amounts for prescription drugs based upon your low income subsidy level.
